Basic Info BioI'm a 21-year-old Journalism student who just started her third of four years of university. I worked at Old Navy as a sales associate/cashier/fitting rooms associate for almost two years and just recently quit to focus on school! Go me! I live in downtown Toronto with my boyfriend, Ron, and I love it. I'm attending Ryerson University, in my third year of Journalism. I really like the program but I'm still not sure if I'll end up being a journalist when all is said and done.
I'm a big city girl, though, and I love everything about living in a city with millions of people in it. The subway is my favorite reading place and I love walking the streets of downtown at night. Every day is an adventure and every day I get the opportunity to discover something, someone, or some place new. I have serious wanderlust so Toronto is kind of like a little bit of the world in one convenient location until I can get out and explore the "real" world. (Whatever that is.)
I think that books, clothing, and experiences are good investments, so I tend to spend most of my money on those things. My friends and family are the most important things to me in this whole world. I lost my mom to cancer already, at the end of May 2004, so I'm really trying to appreciate everyone while they're here because there are no guarantees in life.
I ask a lot of questions and take pleasure in life's small offerings; some people find this annoying but it's just me.
My life is a collection of memories, smiling faces staring back at me. No matter what happens, I hope I never lose that. I'm just a girl who's trying to figure out who I am, and what the world is all about. I am a writer, a friend, a (motherless) daughter, a sister, a thinker, an artist, a daydreamer. I accept people no matter who or what they are. I love my friends, family, and myself. I can be pretentious and condescending or shy and quiet but I can also be kind. It's kind of up to you. I treat people how they deserve to be treated; how they treat me. If you can make me laugh, you're all set. (It's not that hard.)
